Student visa is a non-immigrant visa which is issued to any potential student seeking higher education in another country for a period of 12 months or more. In recent times, amendments made to visa and immigration policies, reduced travel expenses and greater communication technology have significantly made studying abroad more accessible. The fee structure of educational institutions for international and domestic students varies from country to country. While some countries do not differentiate between international and domestic student fees, some charge a higher fees from international students than domestic students. Some countries have a special provision for students to remain there and hunt for employment for up to 12 months after completing the degree course while some permit to work for a specific number of hours per day or per week to cope up with the living expenses in the host country.
